AN INVITATION!
Some of you may be aware of the work of the Paediatrician Dr Nadine Burke- Harris on the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences ( A.C.Es) on health and well-being (physical, mental, socio-economic etc etc).
You may also be aware that, locally and nationally, there is growing, multi-disciplinary recognition of the significant impact of A.C.Es on children and on the adults they become.
In order to seek ways of identifying, understanding and addressing this issue, increasing numbers of A.C.E Hub groups have been established throughout the country, their members from a wide range of disciplines and professions.
The West Lothian A.C.Es Hub cordially invites you to a screening of the documentary “Resilience” on Thursday February 28th 2019 in the Lecture Theatre of Deans Community High School Livingston EH54 8PS.
“ Resilience” explores the “ biology of stress” and the physical and psychological impact of A.C.Es.
A panel from the Hub will be present for a post-screening discussion and “question and answer session”.
It promises to be an interesting and informative evening for all those who work with children. Or who’ve been children themselves.
RSVP to DR CAROL SIMPSON by email carolbrogan@live.co.uk
Attendance will require as RSVP in order to manage the number of attendees.
We look forward to seeing you there.
