I am contacting you following this morning’s announcement that mid-October has been identified as the earliest POSSIBLE date for competitive matches to resume within the grassroots arm of Scottish football. The full statement can be read below:
I hope that this announcement will greatly assist leagues in their planning and preparation for the new season.
Now that a target month of return has been set, we are looking to speak with leagues collectively, in order to update and discuss challenges which face us all, as we plan for the new season amidst the ongoing pandemic. To begin with, this will take the format of virtual meetings via Zoom.
I’ll be back in touch later in the week with details of our first meeting, to which would like to invite a representative from each league.
I must also advise that unfortunately, this does mean that we will be unable to complete the 2019/2020 inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup; we are informing all semi-finalists of this outcome and the various reasons as to why this is the case.
As always, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions or feedback.
