Good Morning,
This email has been sent on behalf of the SYFA Board to all member clubs; please ensure it is shared with your teams. The purpose of this email is to provide a comprehensive update on some of the key matters arising as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The update advises that the suspension of all football activity has been extended until at least 10 June 2020.

The SYFA has made the difficult decision to furlough a number of staff. We will be utilising the Government Job Retention Scheme, in order to protect the association financially and ensure we’re fully resourced when football activities recommence.

Seryfa - Message and Challenge
The committee of the seryfa would like to pass on our thoughts and prayers for everyone at this desperate time. We hope everyone is well and managing to cope at these difficult times for everyone. All we ask is that everyone takes care and listen to all the advice and information given out by the Government.
Please abide with the rules that have been set out for everyone and also use social media to keep in touch with your players and team mates. It's a difficult time for everyone and hopefully we will all recover from this and get back playing football when it's safe to do so.

Update from SYFA re office closure
In light of yesterday’s updated advice from the UK government regarding working from home where possible, the SYFA office will close at 17:00 today until further notice. We do not take this step lightly, but must act in the best interests of the general public and emergency services and with the health and safety of our staff and volunteers in mind.
Festivals and Tournaments Guidance -
Good Morning
This email has been sent to all League and Regional Secretaries.
We are still receiving some enquiries regarding teams hoping to travel to festivals and tournaments outwith Scotland. The likelihood is that this matter will be taken out of their hands entirely, as most large scale events and gatherings across Europe are being cancelled or postponed, along with flights.

Cancellation of all grassroots football fixtures
In line with the statement released by the Scottish FA Joint Board all football including ALL grassroots football is now cancelled until further notice.
We will keep you updated as to when we can return but as we stand all matches are NOW cancelled until further notice.
The decision to suspend or continue training is at each club’s discretion at this time, however clubs must ensure to follow current medical guidance when making this decision.
