Revised Comet Regulations

Good afternoon,

The Scottish FA's Comet Regulations have been revised to clarify the application of the wording of paragraph 12.4(b)(ii). The previous wording and the revised wording is detailed below for your reference. 

Previous wording:

12.4 For all Competitions recorded on Scottish FA Comet:

(b) the participating Clubs must:

(ii) submit their team line-ups (starting line-up, substitutes and members of Team Staff) on Scottish FA Comet in accordance with the deadlines imposed by the Competition Organiser, provided that where a participating Club is unable to use Scottish FA Comet for the submission of a team line-up within the applicable deadlines due to unavailability of Scottish FA Comet or other exceptional circumstances, such participating Club shall be entitled to submit its team line-up by such other means as the Competition Organiser deems acceptable (acting reasonably); and

New wording:

12.4 For all Competitions recorded on Scottish FA Comet:

(b) the participating Clubs must:

(ii) submit their team line-ups (starting line-up, substitutes and members of Team Staff) on Scottish FA Comet in accordance with the deadlines imposed by the Competition Organiser. Where said deadline is not met, it is a matter for the Competition Organiser. Any failure to adhere to the obligation placed on a Club by way of this Regulation which results in submission of a Club’s team line-up by such other means as the Competition Organiser deems acceptable (acting reasonably), may only be excused in exceptional circumstances (which includes, but is not limited to, unavailability of Scottish FA Comet); and
